Array ( [sid] => 8884 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => The Cycle [time] => 2002-12-19 11:00:00 [hometext] => I used a style to express this poem. It explains how futile things can be when caught in the cycle of depression, among other things. [bodytext] => Death
From the depths of Hell.
Sibilantly
It rose to perform its duty.
Lives are lost.

Lives
Lived out meaninglessly.
Quickly
They fade from existence.
Sadness is due.

Sadness
For the loss of a loved one.
Freely
The emotion flows from man.
Grief will follow.

Grief
Tears at the heart and the mind.
Arduously
Man overcomes his sorrow.
Anger is spawned.

Anger
Destroys all that love creates.
Regrettably
Leaving its ghost behind as it departs.
Hope springs anew.

Hope
Drives men to freedom and happiness.
Readily
It frees us from our bonds of loss.
Desire is born.

Desire
Brings about change in one and all.
Eventually
Life is restored and joy is felt again.
Happiness is shown.

Happiness
without moderation leads to blindness.
Subsequently
We grow too blind and we fail, we fall.
Depression replaces all.

Depression
The ever-present melancholy which obliterates hope.
Expeditiously
With all thing sacrificed, all that is left is life.
Death is here. [comments] => 5 [counter] => 547 [topic] => 21 [informant] => thespiritx [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Such a sad this depression is...but you really said what depression actually was... a full range of emotions...a whole cycle of feelings... and i think you did it beautifully... thank you again for sharing
