Array ( [sid] => 88510 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => The Mask [time] => 2005-03-23 19:24:51 [hometext] => I wrote this when I felt that I was so lost in other's expectations one point, that it shaped me into someone they wanted me to be, instead of me. Between all the lying and fake smiles, I became someone that made everyone else happy, everyone...except me. [bodytext] =>
Here she stands now in the rain
make up dripping all away.
The mask she wore, now dissolved
to her, in which, her world revolved.
She prays to God for no one to see
if they knew the truth, they wouldn't believe.
Hiding her face now with her hands
all alone, there she stands.
With her guards now down,
she held a frown.
Feeling so lost in all her lies
all to impress some stupid guys
Those smiles were false, yes, she had been faking
decieving new friends she'd recently been making
All this time, she thought they were blind...
but wasn't it herself, who she couldn't even find?

That was such a great poem! I know it's tough to start making your own decisions once you've listened to others' decisions all your life, but you should make yourself happy and not just for other people, because they may just find out your true self. No one's perfect, please don't try and be that way. You should want to be yourself all the way! lol.
