Not a thought about what you bought
at the mall today,
but an honest to goodness thought.
Have you ever cared
about what's going on out there?
I admit, shoes are importent at the moment,
but after the moment, don't it
bother you to have seconds to think?
Seconds of free time where your mind
might find a painful emotion
before you have time to drown it in a root beer.
Is there time to fear between the valium
and the sound of humanity eating itself?
Say, I'd say that this about as pleasant
as life can be, baby mamas for all!!!
Lethal weapons and alcohol
to anyone with a fake ID.
As I lay in a pool of blood,
after my car has been I hijaked
I am suddenly glad,
that you've never had a thought. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 232 [topic] => 43 [informant] => CodyJ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 4 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Love the sarcastic tone. The image of humanity eating itself is particularly affecting.

This is great.
Hard-hitting and intense...
I specially found the first four lines very meaningful.
