Cold wind that passes through my soul,
A rush of blood that clogs up my heart
Knowing I would never reach my goal.

Happiness and desires all swept away
Blown towards someone else's life,
A million years I had waited for this day
But in the end, it finished in strife.

This loneliness I cannot bear any longer
This pain that doesn't seem to ease,
Memories of you are etched into my heart
But even they are rusting because of the breeze.

It took you long enough to realise I was here
It took a thousand days to say those words,
And now someone came and ruined it all
And now from your lips, it can never be heard.

My life was hanging from such a thin branch
And now he came and knocked it down,
Can you see me fall straight onto the rocks?
Can you see my smile turn into a frown?

You didn't care to answer when I talked to you
But now that problem will never again return,
'Cos now your jigsaw puzzle in finally complete
And the box, you decided to burn.

But never once did you stop to think
That maybe my destiny was written on that box,
You just tossed it aside, never looking back
Just like dumping an old pair of socks.

Your body and soul, I'll forever try to find
But I know that for you, I'm never on your mind.

Can you see all my worries beneath my disguise?
Can you see the truth concealed in the lies?
You thought that I finally threw away your destiny
But really, it's there with me for eternity. [comments] => 1 [counter] => 175 [topic] => 24 [informant] => white_tiger [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LoveRemembered )
