Array ( [sid] => 88385 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Secret [time] => 2005-03-22 17:48:30 [hometext] => This is another poem I wrote a few days before I told my mom I was a cutter [bodytext] => Im counting down the hours,
Until I reach my fate.
I wish I could take it back,
But I know im just too late.

I wonder what comes next,
After I bear my soul.
Will I see the light again,
Or dig myself another hole?

Im so afraid of what they'll think,
And I fear what they will say.
I know they'll never understand,
But I wish they could someway.

They're disbelief and disgust,
Seem to cause me shame.
No one can grasp the fact,
Im playing God's game.

I wish I could show them,
The release given by the blade.
I wish they wouldnt be so blind,
To the pain they also made.

I dont know how to escape,
All this seething pain.
I cant seem to find a way,
To block away the rain.

I dont want to hurt you,
But ive hurt all my life.
Its now time you know,
About my secret with the knife.

I really like it. I remember when I told my mom. It wasn't by choice, someone saw my arm and told the safe cordinator at my school and she was called in. All I could think about was how she was going to handle it.

ok so i've read at least 7 of your poems thus far. YOu should get a grip cause you are a tight writer. The irony of it is that you write from your heart. I can't wait to see how your work reads once you realize how talented you are. I mean you should do def poetry or publish yourself. Pass on this gift to other young children who suffer from the same, help them channel it as well. I don't know you from pix, but I can tell you this much. You have nothing to be ashamed about, you obviously are here for a reason ( to help voice what so many others can't seem to verbalize) and it's time to step up to the challenge accept your fate and start saving those you can reach. Believe it or not your reach will be powerful, and stretch armstrong LONG!!--

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
