Array ( [sid] => 88028 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Would You Rather? [time] => 2005-03-19 22:18:26 [hometext] => This is about choosing whether to live your life in pain KNOWING that there's no way out, or living your life numb to it all and sacrificing all your emotions just to escape the pain. [bodytext] => I've lost all my senses,
I cant hear them anymore.
My breathing's slowed,
As numbness fills my core.

When the pain gets so unbearable,
That you just break down and cry.
When life just gets so terrible,
That all you ask is why.

The cuts get so deep,
And you've yet to feel the pain.
You're huddled away in a cave,
And you're still soaked by the rain.

Your screams are silent,
And your tears are dry.
All the truth you thought you knew,
Was all just one big lie.

If all the blood you've spilt,
Had yet to take away the ache.
All the time and all the coping,
Never mended your heartbreak.

What if they scars had never healed?
If the red lines were tattooed on your skin.
What if you could never forget,
All the torture you hold within.

Oceans full with tears,
And pleas heard in screams.
There's nowhere that you're safe,
Not even in your dreams.

Is it better to live,
Knowing and feeling you wanna die?
Or live being numb to the pain,
Even though it'd be a lie?

everything i said on your last post that you posted, applies to this work of art. i will comment on some other things though that i noticed from this and the other one i have read so far. you make fantastic endings, that are worth reading to. you ask fantastic questions also, they are original from the ones i read on a day to day basis. in other words, your questions dont make me yawn, lol. living a lie or wanting to die. hrm.....depends on if you think life is worth living enough for that.

I'd live neither way. I'd rather
be ignorant, instead of intelligent and sorrowful. if I was ignorant, then I'd be
completely oblivious to what I was missing
in life, and would be comfortable with a mediocre and boring life.
Like Pink Floyd says "Comfortably Numb"

Good write and wonderful question
