Array ( [sid] => 88009 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Déjà vu [time] => 2005-03-19 18:21:05 [hometext] => (History repeats itself again and again; as do we. Still, we seldom recognize a problem as the 'mirror image' of a past solution.) [bodytext] => A negative is but a positive
that has been run aground
at some unknown place
far off the beaten path.
What starts as a shining light
is completely turned around,
and the calmness, once a blessing,
turns composure into wrath.

No-one saw the change until
it was too late to take in hand;
by then no-one remembered
what each really had to fear.
Was the good act, that was altered,
worth the attempt to understand?
With two answers to the question
. . . which one will we hear?

An answer viewed as positive
creates an image of return
to the same old vicious cycle
that repeats itself anew.
A negative response reminds us
how much we have to learn
about the choosing of solutions
to the problems we must view.

As we create, (then try to solve)
all the troubles we may find,
regardless of the circumstances
that may dictate where they're found,
we are sucked into the vortex
of a working 'frame of mind'
which insists that déjà vu
is but a state in which we're bound.

At first I thought this was exclusively attributed to Gertrude Bell, and the Iraqi paradigm, but it is universal, beyond this hazy, medicated perspective.

Congratulations, and stick around. You're most welcome here with such intelligent offerrings . . .

What a world of realization -, cognition and wisdom is comprised in this extraordinary work of art.
Oh! how circles and cycles are to be shunned, Like a snake that bites its own tail
Cut through, right through that endless ever repeating cycle with the cross beam.. one vertical and a horizontal.
Cut right through- courage! fear not!
A Masterpiece this John. Got to reflect on it to really grasp it. What "Insight"
Be blessed for sharing it

Neptunes are always right. Stick around Sir!
WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME!

Neptunes and screwballs have a penchant to recommend not to beat a dead horse, but to seek a new one on greener pastures.
Welcome Maestro!

Bravo! This is a deep reflection, worthy of pondering. It's not often people tackle issues like this, and it shows wisdom on your part.

This intrigues me. well done.
