gorgeous smile, no,
beautiful soul, no.

It's called a pretty good lie,
a gorgeous flicker in your eyes,
and the beautiful but misleading way,

you always leave me hypnotized.

Why must you continuously return,
and mend what you have broken.
Will the heartache you cause, ever cease?
Will you ever, just go- and leave me be?

Days fly by and I'm lost in all time,
through these years, you've corrupted my mind.
I'm starting to think, I'm going insane,
every time you come back, I welcome you...

with open arms.

Trustworthy friends, still warning me,
to just... back far away from you.
But I can't no matter how hard I try,
and the agitation in their eyes is unbearable.

They don't understand why I'm so captivated,
"Why'd she allow herself to be consumed in his evil scheme."
But what they don't know, is I don't know whats wrong with me,
I'm a useless human lately, like his little puppet on strings.

I do exactly what he tells me, when he tells me to,
and I'm tired of the torment.
When I refuse, he threatens me...
it's like a slow brainwashing of the mind.

My friends are all leaving, leaving me behind,
and my soul is calling out to them- but my mind,
is telling me to stay, that he loves me more than anything.
I'll tell you one thing, I'm defiantly not who I use to be.

Cold-hearted, and unreasonable, almost like,
he's the only thing I have worth living for.
But he's the one, who chased away my happiness,
I'm so incredibly lost... a fragile mind now crushed,

And, I don't know if it's possible to escape,

anymore.

Beautiful and yet heart-wrenchingly sad at the same time. I've read through it a good few times now and it gets better each time. Simply wonderful. Keep your chin up.

Take Care

did you mean 'definitely' here?

"I'll tell you one thing, I'm defiantly not who I use to be. "

Just a thought.
