The lights will twinkle bright,
in them I’ll see your face.

Another year without you,
four more years to come,
and then we’ll be together,
for decades yet to more.

We’ll set up our tree,
and place the ornaments.
The bright twinkling lights,
will reflect our sentiments.

And up in the doorway,
you will help me place,
a bunch of mistle-toe,
‘neath which you’ll kiss my face.

Our souls will be elated,
together in this season.
We will be so jolly,

The tree will soon be up,
the ornaments in place.
The lights will twinkle bright,
in them I’ll see your face.

Another year without you,
four more years to come,
and then we’ll be together,
for decades yet to more.
