Make them go away
For I want nothing to do with them anymore
The memories from the past
All they do is hurt me
Even though they are the good times
I want to forget
Everything we once did
So I don't have to live in the past
But I can't
I've been hurt
Yet I'm not over it
So it's time to take them
And throw them away
Never again will they be remebered [comments] => 5 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 52 [informant] => LostInLife [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 12 [ratings] => 3 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => goodbyepoetry )

Nicely put. Wish old memories could be lost or taken, sometimes. Though it's the memories that help teach us and make us who we are. Hang in, it gets better...

You know, memories can be truly painful sometimes, but I think they have to be faced and understood, and eventually accepted, or they will never really stop haunting us. It's no fun, but important. Take care.

this is a sad and powerful write and i know exactly how you feel. I feel the same way myself.. I wish i could forget my ex and the good times so i can heal completely. this will help you it helps me a little remember that everything happens for a reason even though we don't understand it.. and there is always hope

If only it were that easy to be gone with them. I think many lives and the paths we choose would be altered.

I empathize with you because we have all felt pain and loss in one form or another.

I don't know that the memory ever fades but somehow it becomes tolerable. Thats what i've found to be true.

There was alot of evident pain expressed in this poem. Very moving.

Kie
