star light star bright
first scar I see tonight
I wish away, put up no fight
slit my wrists and die tonight

mascara running down bruised cheeks
(looks like you did it again)
take it out on the week
are you a big man baby?
are you what you always wanted to be?
do you desire
the fire burning hatred
eminating from your core
calling me a whore
always wanting more
sex
sex
sex

star light star bright
this pain is far from right
I wish away the gnawing fright
that chews my heart in your delight

you laugh at the tears,
the snotty bloodied nose
its been this way all these years...
you think its a game
little boys play games with little girls
crush their little princess worlds
big words follow hard blows
who knows
maybe this is what you always wanted to be
so tough so strong do no wrong
it must be me who cannot see
that this is how it was supposed to be
mommy, when I grow up I want my husband to beat me!

star light star bright
as I ache through out the night
I wish away the fading light
life has a viscious bite

I watch this thing you call love crumble everyday
and I am the one who pays
"next time I will put your teeth through the back of you skull *****"
little boy do you have the itch?
is it coming on strong?
did I do something wrong?
take it out on me
because when I was a little girl dressing up my dolls
I said this is what I want to be!
and my world falls...

star light star bright
these scars you see tonight
I wish away, put up no fight
slit my wrists and die tonight
slit my wrists and DIE TONIGHT!

Oh Joce this is so painful to read, Anth is such a jackass for doing the thing he did to you, makes me wanna go there and kick his arse LOL.

This was so emotionally written you made me feel your pain from what’s been happening.

star light star bright
as I ache through out the night
I wish away the fading light
life has a viscious bite

Such a powerful stanza that I can relate in, great poem as always hun.

This was gritty and powerful. You have displayed your emotions and sucked the reader in.

What a poem! It is beautifully written though about horrible things. If this is your real life, please get away as fast as you can! No one, no one deserves that. My thoughts are with you Jocelyn.
