[time] => 2005-03-17 01:25:30 [hometext] => this was writen by my friend Gavin Yock (R.I.P. 6/9/1984 - 8/09/2004) three days before he commited suicide. i just wish i would have seen it then instead of tonight. [bodytext] => I never walked the straitest line,
bending and breaking rules all the time.
Go left now quickly turn right,
Barely escaping the demon's in my mind.

now there's plenty of distance between me and teh demons
but i can't stop to feel the wind blow,
am i slipping through the cracks?
or jumping out the window?

now the devils have caught my scent again
i'm getting good at this evasion.
will i escape my terrible past?
or should i take myself out of the equasion?

i've cut myself again,
this knife and my sorrow is all i've got,
THIS IS NECESSARY cry the demons,
but i know that it is not. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 193 [topic] => 39 [informant] => tin [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => Grief )

It's sad to read this- the hopelessness and darkness that a life can get trapped into.

Especially the last line of the poem...
for the heart always has a hope, no matter how tiny, that can be held on to. It's the hope that God has written in each heart, signed with His own name.
I wish your friend would have found it.
Sorry about your friend.
