[bodytext] => So very down on myself today.
Up for a small taste of freedom. So I open the front door, breaking the seal on a new day. It's going to be hard to hide , in all that sunlight, so I put on my sunglasses. Not to protect my eyes from the sun but to protect them from the eyes, of the outside world. They are my security blanket. Now I am ready so I must step outside the door, in one quick bound. The same way you dive into the cold water, to get used to it all at once. When I feel it is safe, I remove the sunglasses. Sometimes then, I am rewarded with the most beautiful gift. To look up and catch the eyes of a small child and then to smile at them. And in their eyes I see the light of innocence, and it cleanses and soothes my weary eyes. And then they smile back at me, and suddenly I am someone. I am alive.
