That she needed.

Somewhere far away from here.
(Locked away.)
Somewhere that normal eyes cannot see,
Mere fingers cannot reach.
Behind walls too thick to breach.
She's sick of shedding blood.
By such sharp instruments,
Cut through the fiber of her being...
Dropping the walls she hides within,
So that they crumble at her feet.
Her tears sink through the floor,
Smelling of salt and blood.
Their hands reach out from her.
She used to be one of them.

(Back when everyone rode the ferris wheel.)

God she says, abandoned her.
There are no passages left open to her soul.
She cuts her self with glass,
Torn from the windows that keep her from the world.
She does it just to remind herself.
She's still alive enough to feel it's hurt.
She sees the shadows crawl across the room again.
And keeps her eyes on the ceiling to keep from dreaming,
It's their dreams she's seeing.
She doesn't want it to be her fault.

(She's their little play thing. Another puppet on the shelf.)

They pull her strings...
She begs the Lord to let insanity free her.
She begs in vain...
And is tortured further by the knowledge,
That she's traveling through a mad world...
Completely sane.

(She crawls to the edge of the vertical.)

They stole her name...
They took her being...
Swallowed her heart...
And let her bleed.
The only way to get back at them...
Is if she kills their file cabinet...
That means it all has to end.
She makes it all end.

(She knew things.)

(She kept things for them.)

(Locked away in her mind.)

(She sets them free.)

(She ends herself.)

(And sets them free.)

(One more pawn has fallen from the Ferris Wheel)

this poem screams tragic masterpeice...

it is beautifully written, dee, but i wish that your talents had themes as bright as your potential to match them. take heart... for the Lord is for you, not against you. do not believe the lies that you are not worthy... the whole point of his sacrifice was to set you free. YOU HAVE THE RIGHT to go straight to the throne room of the Father and plead mercy in Jesus name, to the very holy of holies. and he will answer you.. have faith! remember the words of the Saviour.. "in this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world!" i dont know what it is you feel is seperating you from God, but this i do know... finite problems cannot overcome infinate love! and thats what Jesus is... his blood is the most powerful thing in the universe. his love for you is greater than the east is from the west, and that is how far he has seperated you from sin.. so repent! turn to him! in surrender there is perfect peace, and though he disciplines, he does it in love, and never does he put on you a burden you cant carry. if you cant carry it, you arnt meant to, and its a lie from the accuser. anyway, i hope this helps you, may you find the peace of God that passes understanding.. not as the world gives it, but as Jesus gives. bless you..
