Picturing how things could be.
I wonder if there was a way to write the wrongs.
Would I still be me?

I have done many stupid things
Some huge and some small.
But all important parts of life/
It can all come to a wrong turn, or a short fall.

But all the choices had a purpose
I don’t know it all, but I know part.
It is enough to prove I have no regret.
Even if I haven’t always been smart.

My mistakes have made me what I am
I have always known this is true.
And I know deep down I have done right.
My choices brought me close to you.

You have made my life a happy place,
Always there when I need you.
Memories locked inside my head.
For this I will always love and care for you.

Nice job, Jake.

Keep writing and developing poems. Also, consider deviating from a four bar stanza... maybe in the future you could try a 3 or 5. Anyway, good poem and I will be looking for some others.
