All That's Been Left

Contributed by ForeverAndADay on Monday, 14th March 2005 @ 04:24:53 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

One pearl earing.

A woven bag.

A few coins in her mothers coin purse.

A couple letters from her dad.

A half empty carton of milk.

A pencil half full of lead.

A diary that has hardly been written in.

One cat that needs to be fed.

One sandal lying in the kitchen.

Those three quarters the door has been opened.

A rusty truck in her front yard.

An old dress drying and blowing in the wind.

These are all that's left of Sereny.

Very nicely done. Heart-wrenchingly sad and yet beautiful at the same time. I really like this one, its original, creavie, deep and meaningful. Very well written. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care
