[bodytext] => I can’t even imagine the sorrow that was felt, As they watched him take his last breath. To know that he was so innocent, free from all sin, And nothing they could do would prevent his death. Oh, the love he had shown them was so unconditional, He loved them no matter what they had done. But the crowd crucified him and hung him on that cross, Denying the fact that he was God’s own Son. I wonder what it was like to travel to that tomb, With your heart so broken in shreds. Just to find that the stone had been rolled away, And the body of Jesus was gone just as he had said. It must have been startling and glorious both at the same time, To witness such an amazing sight. To know that he had risen on that third day, Testified of his glory and might. Then to hear his clear, sweet voice, From seemingly out of the blue. Oh, how I wish I could’ve been there when he said, Those wonderful words that I long to hear, “Peace, be unto you.” The miracle of all miracles happened that day, When Jesus came up from the grave. After being brutally beaten and left hung to die, He arose so that we might be saved.
