Why do I love you so damn much?
When my heart hasn’t the faintest of clues.
It wants to say I do.
It wants to touch.
When my mind says it doesn’t feel such a love… a love for you.

You’ve been a rainbow in my skies of gray.
When the storms of life have gathered on the narrow way.
You’ve helped me through thick and thin.
You’ve always been there to be a friend.
You’ve taken my hand and led me through to the promised land.
But why do I love you?

Please… tell me… why?
Why do I love you so damn much?
When my heart hasn’t the faintest of clues.
It wants to say I do.
It wants to touch.
When my mind says it doesn’t feel such a love… a love for you.

I just don’t understand?
When my heart knows and feels it can.
But my mind keeps saying… it’s not right to feel such a love… a love for you.
Why… then… do I love you so damn much?

You’ve helped me see the mistakes I’ve made…
Never turning your back.
Never being afraid.
Maybe getting a little upset from time to time…
But… babe… that’s plain to see why.
I just don’t know…
I haven’t figured it out.
Why my love is so strong?
Why it just goes on and on?

Please… tell me… why?
