I could not live without
I need each one
To make it through this life
Faith, Hope, Love, Peace, Joy,
Courage, Wisdom, and Grace

Faith
A humble faerie
Welcoming the white dove
As white and pure as her soul
Contrasting with the night sky
We gaze among her beauty

Hope
Proud of who she is
A halo of flowers
Rings around her head
And the wind blows her hair
Carefree of tomorrow

Love
Surrounded by roses, of course
Looking over her shoulder
To make sure I haven’t strayed
I must follow her
Down any road she chooses
For she is the leader

Peace
Looking like a princess
At ease in heart and soul
Holding a white lily
Knowing nothing will
Try to take it away from her

Joy
She never stops smiling
Why would she want to?
She cups a yellow butterfly in her hands
Just to gaze at its beauty
Then she sets it free

Courage
Holding her chin high
Clothed in bold red
To reflect her bold heart
I have to say
The others would be trampled on
If they didn’t have Courage
To hold their hands

Wisdom
It is a quality gained over time
But she looks so young
She holds a dragonfly
Not as beautiful as a butterfly
But a quiet insect
Content to be in the background
For most of the time

Grace
Fierce and breathtaking grace
Closest to her sister Courage
We need them both most
During difficult times
Grace never falters
She is strong yet feminine

These eight sisters hold each other’s hands
As I stand in the middle of the circle
I need them all
For if the circle was broken
I would be broken [comments] => 4 [counter] => 176 [topic] => 40 [informant] => Ataraxia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => fantasy )
