Sweet, the taste of friendship
lingers in my heart,
like a treasured jewel

Guarded, by my fierce determination
to not let time
pull us apart

We have know each other
since the beginning
of time itself
or so it always seems

We have grown together
we have shared
the most intimate
of secrets

And laughed,
oh, we can laugh
at so much
that life threw at us
and we caught
with open arms

Ready for battle,
if needed,
so sure
that what we have
will last
a thousand more
eternities

I am so content
to think of you
my dear, dear friend
who shares
part of my soul

Today, I rejoice
in the song
that flows from my heart
to yours
and back
again.

This is yet another beautiful dedication to your friends, I'm sure they love it. As a poem itself, it's written perfectly, flows smoothly and is both expressive and insightful. Thanks for sharing.

Take Care
