A path of song and rememberence that hath
Grown throughout my years of life
A blossom for each happy memory
A wilted one for each year of strife
The path sings to you its melody

It sings
Grow with me
Look closer and see
That my lush greens
Mirror thee
In years of blight
They yearn for light
And freedom they envy
Intimately

Follow me along a country road
You and it have carried a load
Of burdens and pains
Behind curtains and rains
But you've endured the strains
And eroded your stains

And the road sings
Journey with me
Look closer and see
That my beaten trail
Mirrors thee
Those who use you
Walk on and abuse you
Don't really touch you
If your mind is free

Follow me along a busy street
The world moving just as fast
As the fateful pace you keep
People quickly walk past
When eyes chance to meet
You'll see pain oceans deep

So the street says
Rush with me
Look closer and see
That my habitual hurry
Mirrors thee
Battle life's fury
Don't lose to worry
Do, and you'll be sorry
But opened eyes will see
That each lifetime
Is influenced by sight
Of the mind
And the light

Mode of thought
rules our lot
And human kind
Wanders blind
But we'll remedy
Their garden path
Each person's hath
It's own melody
