Some of it was inspired by a friend who's going through a rough patch with her boyfriend, and some of it by my own relationship with my boyfriend. [bodytext] => She stays up at night
Fearing he doesn't love her anymore
He goes on with his day
Thinking of her but not knowing how she feels
Their small, quiet life is shaking on its stage
But nobody notices as they walk by
Till someone steps down from her imperfect world
She knows she's seen it before and sets it straight

How can you walk away from your troubled space
From the quiet moments of passion and those of doubt
How can you care when you've come so close to breaking
And the one you want to lay your problems down on
Is too far away to hear you whisper his name

She gets through the gloom
By reminding herself that he loves her
It's been one of those days
She removes herself from cold reality
Suddenly his voice is heard in the silence
He whispers imaginary promises
And it soothes the pain in her hand-me-down heart
But all she really wants is just to be held

How can you walk away from those tired spaces
From the sweetest moments of love and those of fear
How can you leave when you've just come to love that life
And the one you need is nowhere to be found now
She doesn't know that in your sleep you call her name

You must be so much stronger than I thought
Even though you swear you can't take any more
Open up your world before they take it all
While someone's dying for love, someone's living for it

Don't you dare walk away from those tired spaces
From the precious moments of love and caring
How could you turn from the one you depend on
The one you want to lay your troubles down on
You're never too far to give them what they need [comments] => 6 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 21 [informant] => MoonlitAngel [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Lifepoems )

Dee,

This is soooo amazingly beautiful that I don't know what to say. I'm speechless. And you know me, it's once in a blue moon that I finally shut up. I love this. Keep up the good work. And stop letting your heart get broken!

Jaime. (lol... I almost spelt my name wrong!! That'd be silly of me!)
