Array ( [sid] => 86879 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => My Prince Will Return [time] => 2005-03-08 17:43:10 [hometext] => This poem was written about one night at a youth rally at my church. [bodytext] => I step out of the new brick castle,
In hopes of a new love, rekindled.
The white chariot approaches and my prince steps out.
His gloden hair shapes his round face,
His eyes glisten like blue-green pools,
That I could swim in forever.
He sees me, and runs toward me, taking me up in his arms.
"I Love You!" he whispers in my ear, and I smile.
"I Love You, too" I whisper back, he kisses my cheek.

I lead him in, hand in hand, showing him to the others.
The squires, my past suiters, stare at me disapprovingly.
We sit in our corner, conversing.
The assembly begins, and quickly ends.
We waltz down the garden path to the dining hall.,
We gather our food and sit, just outside of the hall.
Holding hands, sitting close, we share one small, deep, almost intimate moment,
Then it is shattered, like a paine of glass, but I savor it.
The ladies in waiting have come to ruin me.
They are jealous of my love.
Soon my dream has turned from bad to worse, and is now a nightmare.
My prince is being riped away from me.
I cannot let go, nor can he.
But we are pryed apart,
He is forced to leave me.
I watch his white chariot fly away from me,
He looks out the window, and I see one crystal tear float down his beautiful cheek.
He is gone.
So I shut my self off, numb to the touch of any other, waiting, for my prince to come again. This poem is very relatable and that is what i love about it. Good imagery and use of emotion.
