Bound to these chains…confined in this incarceration…
These people aren’t my friends,
Though they smile and act as if they were,
But I know the truth,
And we all wear a mask of deception…

I yearn to get away,
Far from this dreadful normalcy,
Into your open arms…
Warm and safe from all that gives harm…
Darkness loses this war,
Past recollections stay in the past,
And the Monster sleeps forevermore…

My precious luna, the mystic moon,
Smiles only for us, and her children weep,
Bittersweet diamond tears…

By the shore of dreams,
We walk hand in hand,
Souls forever intertwined,
A love transcending the bleeding horizon,
And we share a kiss…
Drowning in silent adoration, hearts racing,
A piano plays in the distance,
And we dance a waltz of love…
The rhythm hastens, the piano has ceased its enchanting melody,
And a fast-paced tango between hearts begins…

I know I must wake up now,
I know this is only a dream…
Duties beckon,
The Queen shouts for her fool,
And I must reply quickly…
A slave to this normal life,
My only escape is you…
My freedom is found in your eyes…
My life is within your embrace…
Yet, Day approaches with blinding ferocity,
I must open my eyes,
End this beautiful dream,
And live another day in this prison…

All I want is eternal slumber,
So this illusion may live on forever…
Dreams end, some come true…
I can’t help but keep on loving you…

A stunningly beautiful write. I love how you set it out with the bolds and italics, but more importantly I love the poem itself. So full of inspiration, hope, love and then sorrow. Deep, powerful and incredibly moving, a masterpiece.

Take Care

" ... Dreams end, some come true…

There could have been no more a perfect close to these wonderful words. I have heard dreams, if you let them, will come true. To me that means don't try to force their hand or manipulate them into being ... keep them in sight ... and follow where they lead.

Absolutely wonderful poem!

Sometimes lovers are only dreamers
Until they wake up and the dream is over
Yet the dream is still fresh inside the heart
As lovers wish to be dreamers forever

Good Job! Keep it up!
