Bound by chains of self repression,
weighted with lack of real expression,
I've always wanted to get high.
It must be great to be alive.
To breath the air and let out a sigh
of contentment that's like a baby's first laugh
that you keep on the shelf next to that autograph
of Lou Gerhig, that stoic guy.
I try to imagine, try to dream of letting go,
losing control for one fantastic moment.
I would give you the moon, if you'd loan it
to me for a day or three,
show me reality,
show me how to live,
if you want it,
I will give
you anything.
To smoke a little,
drink alot,
screw so many girls
that I forgot
to take a razor and cut myself,
or be able to show love to someone else.
Vanilla is not my favorite flavor,
lend me your scoop and I will savor
every morsel of what's inside.
Show me what it is to feel,
feel the pain and make me real,
make me feel alive. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 187 [topic] => 61 [informant] => CodyJ [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )
