It is your heavenly well, that I smell.
I shall rise before your eyes,
Then take your pitiful life.

Do not fear me,
For I am your ecstasy.
I will take your life higher,
And give you a heart of fire.

Together we shall hide in the shadows,
Together we shall clear the gallows.
You and I in the creating of crimson showers.
Will lift these souls in the darkened hours.

From the depths of hell,
And from my flame lit cell.
It is your heavenly well that I smell.

Thank you, I have been compared to so many people as far as Anne Rice herself. To be honest I never know what to say to something like that. Except thank you very much. I am glad you liked this one.

excellent poem. i always like it when a poem ties back to the beginning like you just have done. i sometimes try to incorporate into my writing, but i just seem to go from one point to an entirely different subject by the end of the poem. i liked this one very much indeed. so when do i get my heart of fire? =]
