Array ( [sid] => 864 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Old Before Our Time... [time] => 2002-07-21 09:33:36 [hometext] => i've been away for a while, needed time to sort things out...Now if only i could navigate my way round this site i'd be so much more chilled...
Hope to catch up with old friends on here, and hopefully some new ones...Take care all...MDM... [bodytext] => Sometimes i like to drift away
to a far off distant...yesterday
were we were young... and we would say
"This will do us fine"
where boys were boys...and men were men
when suddenly...its gone again
we never even stayed as friends
were old before our time...

It was easy when we started...all we had were just our dreams
we never knew that time could move so fast
we really thought we knew it all...at least thats how it seemed
now all we have are memories of our past

We are old before our time
old before our time
but i aint ready...it aint fair
why couldn't i have just stayed there...

I sometimes think of others...that i met along the way
different types of people...with different things to say
we'd reminisce together...toast our health with wine
they thought they'd live forever
but there old before there time...

We are old before our time
old before our time
but i aint ready...it aint fair
i wish that i could just stay there
I wish i could... turn back the clock
to see your face...oh what a shock
your dressed up in a sixties frock
your old before your time...

A mirror beckoned what did i see
a tired face looking back at me
aged features...not out of place
on a worn out man
in a worn out face
time has caught on up... with us
it's passed us by...without a fuss
to leave us here...looking back to pine
"Were old before our time"...

Welcome back, Mark!!! Hope things are all sorted out now. I, too, have been away from chat and site sorting some stuff out also. I enjoyed this very much and it is food for thought. I saw you on site last night, but didn't realise it was you, or I would have said Hi...
Jenni
