I saw that old man today
He still looks, then turns away
It's so strange how he appears
when your memory is near

I still see his empty face
as I drive up to our place
He wants to go in there
but nobody inside to care

Maybe I should ask him this
Will I ever cease to miss
the love in my memory
or will I die in my grief

I saw that old man again today
This time he did'nt turn away
Now I know why he appears
He was my reflection in the mirror

that was a bit more original than some of the endings ive seen about the same topic. great poem too, as more substance than most that write about this also.
