It seemed so dark, it seemed so gray.
And here I am thinkin’ my life’s hard.
Scared to go places, afraid I won’t get far.
I feel like everyone’s leaning on me.
I keep tryin’ to be what others tell me to be.
My parents keep trying to hold my hand.
They want me to be something big; something grand.
But right now, I’m still falling; overcome with despair.
Reaching out for people who aren’t even there.
The guy that I love did not run away.
He left because of me, Because I didn’t stay.
All I have now are my family and friends.
Their names in my circle, cuz circles never end.
Yes, the sky was drunk today.
It cried millions of tears that fell my way.
Here’s to the feelings I’ll have forever.
And here’s to my heart that’s been taped back together.
This one’s for my girls who stuck with me this far.
This one’s for the drunken sky’s reachable stars.
Jacob, if you’re listening; Baby, I still love you.
Please say that a part of you still loves me too.
Drunk sky, do not worry. Hangovers aren’t that bad.
Cry on my if you want to, I know that you’re sad.
It’s not good that you haven’t cried for many days.
So just cry on me; we need rain anyways.
God take the wind and the rain, send it all to the soil.
Calm the blood in my veins if it ever starts to boil.
Hold on to my family wherever they may be.
Hold on to my friends, and all that’s left of me.
Drunk sky, I don’t deserve it,
But pull me out of this hole.
Can you hear me? Will you help me?
