Deep in my subconscious it would seem
You were queen and I was king
Gifts and gold all would bring
We ruled the sky and seas
We laughed and lived as we pleased
When the servants came to pay
We were fed till’ full, without delay
In our castle we would awake
To a view of the ocean only God could make
You in your throne and me in mine
We ruled fairly and just every time
Loved by all, were are praised
Your beauty and wit never ceased to amaze
The crowds of people and their breathless gaze
Chanting and applauding, both hands raised
This land so green and lush
It’s as if its creator used a brush
Every inch perfectly placed
As if all ugliness has been erased
We climbed to the tip of the sky
And leaped off the wall ready to die
Instead we soared and flew
Right alongside this bird that you knew
He warned us that there was danger
Then he left suddenly enraged and in anger
I asked you if you knew what he meant
You stared at me and begged me to repent
And immediately I realized and knew
This dream of lust was over and through
We flew with our hands clasped together
Towards the sun were there is no forever
As the light became too bright see
I awoke and saw only me.
