I’ve never been one to kiss and tell
About the many girls I knew so well
When I was young I had so much fun
But when I got married, those days were done

I sowed my oats, I played the field
And those memories will always be sealed
But it’s fun to look back on those younger ways
And remember those wild college days

But I grew up like all men should
And bought a house in a nice neighborhood
Found a wife and settled down
And became a respectable citizen in our town

Now the parties I attend come with age
As I blow out the candles at another stage
What use to be important has long gave way
To the comfortable life I know today

In my life I have been blessed with much
Health, family, a good job, and such
Some would say I’m lucky and I’d have to agree
My life has been bright from how I see

I’ve never been one to kiss and tell
Or tell the stories I remember so well
What I rather talk about isn’t in the past
Cause the present time goes back too fast

For I’ve never been happier or been more blessed
Then when I lay my little boy down to rest
And I look at the face of my beautiful son
As I realize my best days are yet to come

This gave me more than a smile...it positively made me beam. It is seldom one sees so much love and wisdom wrapped into a single short write. Bravo!
