I saw it while the bright, red sun was setting into the trees like a little girl eating a cherry lolipop from the doctor's office, just licking the pain away from her day.

I saw my death in a dream last night and it ate away at me like a fire burning down a house leaving nothing but a mess by the time it's put out. That's how it would be, everyone torn apart and crying rainstorms.

I saw the devil's eyes this morning, before the sun came up, staring at me like a bat spying on it's prey, learning it's routine, waiting for the right moment to attack.

And I saw his followers walking down my street, stopping in front of my house like it was a crime scene. Like I had just been kililed a few minutes earlier and my house was surrounded by police cars and spectators. They were waiting to take my soul.

I saw your true feelings for me in your eyes today and I thought I was going to die. You looked at me like I was a thief and you said that I stole your heart, that you were taking it back forever, and that I had the right to remain silent. You caught me red handed. I had your heart, but I dropped it.

You saw me trying to pick it up again, but you wouldn't let me. You shut me out like you would a stranger. I begged and pleaded for forgiveness, but I didn't realize that a heart as fragile as glass could be as cold as an ice cube sending chills down your back.

I saw something in your eyes that day that I didn't expect.

I saw the devil gleaming through them. So I write this to help revive the real you because your dead to me like I'm dead to you and I don't want to be dead anymore.

I saw Heaven yesterday and it was Hell.

I saw Heaven yesterday.

I saw Heaven yesterday and it was Hell.

A very inspirational poem. I like the title, and also the ending line. At first, I didn't know where you were going with the poem, and truthfully, I was about to turn around, but I'm happy that I finished reading it. I've never read a poem like this before, but it's new and refreshing. Keep writing and I hope she learns to forgive you.

I love the way you start out each section.
"I saw my death in a dream last night..."
"I saw my death in a dream last night ..."
"I saw your true feelings for me in your eyes today .."
Very nice, but this write did trouble me a little bit, I hope your lifde isn't that bad and fruitless. There's ALWAYS a silver lining.
