Covering the ground in a thin layer of water
Sighing deeply I look around
I always wait as if someone will come
To whisk me away from this place I feel numb
Loneliness continues to eat away my soul
I can no longer fight it
I have lost all control.

I spot a dog left out in the rain tied to a post
With a heavy metal chain
This dog is my equal
In my dreams is where we reign
Free from this world
Of anguish and pain.

His hair drips down while his skeleton shakes
With coldness we both feel because of other peoples mistakes
The tears that drip off my skin
Are ones of sadness deep down within
Being washed away by the rain outside
For when it rains no one sees me cry.

Deep red mixing with the grey of rain
As my tears of sorrow continue to drip from my skin
The dog tied up watches in vain.
We look at each other, a secret understanding
Soon we will both be free
Together, forever
You will stay with me.
Through blood and tears
You will know
What goes on during these years.
The ridges on my arm feel sore to touch
It had once again got too much.

For I am on the outside looking in
While the rain showers down
Soaking me to the brim
Making all heaven quake
I begin to fade away.
I have no regrets, as you have caused me too much heartache.

Very depressing and deep yet its not too sad there is a flash of something saying its ok. Great write, I'm not sure how you got the spark in there but you did, I enjoyed this.

Good write, keep it up,

I love it when I come to a poem that describes exactly how I feel and live my life from day to day. This is one of those poems that do that. You are able to say exactly how you feel. You express your emotions so well... great write...
