Array ( [sid] => 84827 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Thank you my freinds [time] => 2005-02-18 03:26:25 [hometext] => This is for all my freinds who helped me survive the past couple of years [bodytext] => I sat there in the darkest of places I have ever seen.
I never ever thought I would have the courage to surface
No one held me there
No one was there to help me climb out
Or maybe they were
When an outstretched arm came to me I could only hold their hand
I could never believe they were strong enough to pull me out
I was right
No one could pull me out I had to climb myself
Alone and isolated I could see the sun shining outside
So warm and inviting but I couldn’t touch it
The passion in my soul had died
I had nothing left and didn’t even know who I was
But then with time I started to grow tired of this confinement
I took those outstretched arms and started to climb
Just knowing people were holding my hand helped me stay sane
The journey was arduous and painful
It was like learning to walk again with new legs
Learning to see again with new eyes
Learning to love again with a broken heart
But eventually I got there, I made it
I climbed out and embraced the light of life
I took back my soul and filled my life with good things, good people
I found my ambition again
I rediscovered that fire that once burned within
If it hadn’t been for those of you who held my hand along the way I may never have climbed out of that dark place.
I love you all and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I’m privileged to have such good people in my life.
May my hand always be there for you to hold in times of need.

Sometimes, when things are dark..it's hard. And there is no hand. You're very lucky to have such friends..and sometimes things go one for many years..and no one ever understands.. so you are blessed.
A heart crushed on an the floor
beaten, just as it's been before.
For her there are no helping hands
because no one really understands..
So she lies there in the dirt..
and just swallows all the hurt..
It's easy to give all the pity
to the one who is so pretty..
