When it was over
I felt remnants of the lingering shadow

The spider web has weaved in my mind
The knife was dull
But not the pain that I left behind

Casting marks across the soft skin
Knowing no one cared
Drowning in the murky depths of sin

I once died, but no bliss came
I wanted to leave there
So I tripped into the apparent flame

Time and time, I would’ve undone the deed
But I can’t now
As I look up at the world, I long to be free

The bruises won’t fade for this eternity
Is this my punishment
For not having mortality? I’m sorry!

Bite into my skin, carry me over
These boiling waves
I gain strength as I rest on your shoulder

Don’t fail me now, I have nothing to lose
I thought you would save me
Can’t you see me scar, pity this bruise?

I once died, didn’t you know?
But all that’s left
Is the soft whisper, “Don’t go.” [comments] => 1 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 13 [informant] => Ataraxia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

i commend you on your ending. one of the best ive seen. your other piece was very good, but your ending was amazing. that is what i always look for. a bad ending can ruin an entire masterpiece, an ending, can make a materpiece.
