He and his mother were

throwing a lot of old junk away.
-" I have to go pick up my friend, Maria, from work and take her home; can

you finish throwing this stuff away?" his mother said.
-"Sure." He said.
-"Thanks, Erik," His mother said.
So after she left, he started throwing some more stuff in the trash.

This young man was named Erik. He was sixteen years old. His

parents divorced when he was one and a half years old, and chose to live

with his mother when he was old enough to decide. His father was an

alcoholic and he didn't want to live the way he did when he stayed with his

dad for periods of time. Erik goes to a public school in Carrollton, TX,

and he has a lot of friends. His best friend is Shadi Azhari.

Erik decided that he was going to wait for him mom to get home to

finish cleaning, because he had already done most of the work anyway. He

was tired so he decided to take a nap until his mother came home. When he

awoke, his mother was still not home.

-"Well she still isn't home so I guess I will throw all that stuff

away on my own." Erik said to himself aloud.

He went to the dumpster and threw the stuff away. As he was

throwing it all away, he found a book with his cousin's name on it. He

picked it up and ran inside to read it. When he finished the whole book;

there was one more page that he didn't read, but when he read it; this is

what it said:

"If you read this whole book, you will get killed by a little kid with a

scalpel in its hand. So say goodbye to your life. "

-"That's not true; there is no way that someone is going to come

and kill me with a scalpel, just because I read this book." He said to

himself laughing because he didn't believe it.
-"I better go make sure that I didn't leave anything out" he said

to himself in his head.

Erik left his bedroom and walked back into the kitchen and found

that he left out a box, the box was filled with a horde of old decorations.

So he went back outside to throw it away.

When he opened the door, he dropped the box full of old decorations

on the ground. He saw a little girl standing in front of him. The little

girl could only have been about 6 years old. She had blonde hair that was

in pigtails. She was wearing a baby pink t-shirt and a pair of denim

shorts. The little girl could only have been about 6 years old. The little

girl was covered in blood. In her hand she held a little knife called a

scalpel

-"Ummm…uh…are you ok?" Erik said to the little girl. The little

girl looked at him like she was so angry with him.
"Did I do something to make you angry, or something? Because if I

did, I'm sorry for what ever I did. Do I know you?"

The girl did not say anything to him. She still just looked at him

as if he had done something wrong. The little girl then charged at him and

tried to stab him with the scalpel.
Erik ran back inside, but tripped and fell; he landed on the

kitchen floor. The little girl ran after him and caught him. She grabbed

him by his hair and almost slit his throat, but Erik got away before she

could. He ran back outside and saw people standing there.

-"Help!" Erik hollered, but everyone looked at him like he was

crazy. Then he realized that they could not see what was happening because

they didn't read the book.

He turned around and saw the girl standing there before him.

-"Okay, Wow you are fast and strong. What did I do?" She once again

tried to stab him with the scalpel. He ran around her, and she ran after

him.

Erik went to grab the phone, but it was too late. She stabbed his

hand.
-"Ahhhhh!!!!" he yelled in agonizing pain.
"Damn, that hurt!!!"

He didn't know what to do. He couldn't run or hide. He was trapped

and no-one could help him.

-"I am starting to really wish I hadn't of read that book; this

little girl is really *****in' me off" he thought to him self as he was

running from the little girl.

Finally, he went to his room and closed the door.
-"Finally, I am safe!!!"
The little girl was just outside his door. He quickly grabbed the

phone and dialed his mother's cell phone number. He heard his mother's

voice.

-"MA..." but he couldn't say anything because he had been stabbed

again, right deep into his back. When this happened, he fell onto his bed.

His mother came home, she found her son on the bed covered in

blood.

-"OH MY GOD!!!!" she shreaked at the site of her dead son.

His mother saw the book with her nephew's name on it. She read the

whole book and was in shock. She went into the kitchen and found her son,

Erik, standing there covered in blood with a scalpel in his hand.
