Who lives your life in senseless dreams, who lives alone.
Funny how the singers sing about their only loves
and poets you think are waving until they drown.

Down – you’re not the only one.
Slipping down – does it help that you’re not alone,
or does it still feel like it’s draining your blood?
Following your secret search for love.

Funny how it always seems you haven’t got a chance,
trying to stitch up the seems of your last lovers’ dance.
Funny how you count the years since you last kissed someone.
Everybody thinks you’re waving until you drown.

Down – you’re not the only one.
Slipping down – does it help that you’re not alone,
or does it still feel like it’s draining your blood?
Following your secret search for love.

Funny how you scream so loud without a single sound.
Ironic how the people close think it’s a phase.
Funny? It’s just a bloody good laugh,
when you start to write the verse for your own epitaph
and it says

Down – you’re not the only one.
Slipping down – does it help that you’re not alone
or does it still feel like it’s draining your blood?
Following your secret search for love.

I liked this poem it was very well written and also very true. I loved the line "Funny how you scream so loud without a single sound" That spoke a lot to me. Great poem!
