Array ( [sid] => 84475 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => dreaming free [time] => 2005-02-14 23:43:11 [hometext] => this is about the civil war in my own country between christians and muslims..that broke out about 50 years ago..this war almots destroyed my country..i am glad it is over [bodytext] => Sitting down dreaming I was free
With willingness to be more than free
Hoping I was set free, chains never put on me

Oh boy, there ain’t no liberty
In this world of Islamic & cruelty
You think you are free; boy we all ain’t free,
The dream of a freedom ain’t meant for me

Here I am in my community thinking of liberty
My people here talking about the ability of unity
Because unity and liberty is what runs in our arteries

Momma I am here dreaming & wishing I was free
With willingness to be just more than free
Hoping I was set free, chains never put on me

But boy I see all of my family locked up in jail
And the government set this outrageous bail
I heard the judge said it and I was shocked as hell

This government kept us back from learning
Our history. they locked us up and taught us slavery
Islamic is what they want me to believe

Oh my soul is full of grieve
please release me and let me retrieve
all my memories and believes

But what can I do lord when I am so helpless
listening to my brother talking so hopeless
here iam watching my father lay down breathless
Because the world around me care less
