Unaware of the pain and hurt he bestowed upon her
Her thoughts and feelings to him were swirled
She saw only beauty in him and one true answer
He lashed out at her with malicious words
Though his sweet brown eyes betrayed their meaning
The whole concept of the relationship was absurd
And along the straight path of truth he left her leaning
A chill ran through her when she heard his voice
Pleasure and hatred bound to come together
So many consequences revealed to her as she made The Choice
Each time he threw her aside her heart was left hanging from a tether
The Phantom watched her bleed her heart away
For she'd do anything for him, even die this way [comments] => 2 [counter] => 168 [topic] => 32 [informant] => Inevitable [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => SadPoetry )

I think I once knew someone like the one you're describing in this poem, but thank goodness I got out before what you say in the last line happened.
I felt this one. Thoughtful.

This was an interesting read and I liked it, it was nicely done...I liked the words you chose, I could see this all happening in my head
