[hometext] => this was from quite a while back 2002, my 8th grade year... i'm gonna post some old OLD poems...
[bodytext] => Passing through the moonlit night, silver to the snow his soft, thick tail brushes past a glowing rock. The only comparison to his life is a blood-soaked snowshoe among his jagged teeth. Not a paw print in the frost bitten ground. He has spots on his silver coat, Uneven rings painted on his fur. His golden eyes see through my frozen body, Pulling my soul away. His large, padded, soft toes Search me for help He jerked, Impaled me with his massive black claws. His bright deep pupils Became small and wispy. He held me down and roared; A brave roar, A roar of pain Echoing through the land. He took his last breath and exhaled. Smoke from his breath wisped and turned. The snow leopard collapsed on me, Filling me with warmth. I didn’t want it. I wanted to leave cold As he did Hearing his last heartbeat A tear prepared to fall from my red face. Blood trickled slow from his coat of silver, Racing down to meet my tear, Mixing our souls. Both of them had left me, But I was going to die and meet them, When I had my last breath, my last heartbeat, My last brave and painful roar.
