alone
at the edge of the road
at the edge of the world
as simple
as two boards
fastened together
marking the place where
a father
a mother
a husband
a wife
a son
a daughter
crossed the threshold
into the afterlife
complex
as I wonder
how many take notice
as they pass?
do they see
their own mortality
personified
or a lonely memorial
marking where a loved one's soul
passed into eternity [comments] => 7 [counter] => 253 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Petznick [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 8 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Oh, how poignant. This evokes so much in me and the imagery it creates is just... fantastic. You've done so much with so little and it has turned out to be amazing.
Bravo! Encore!!!!!!!
Lots of love and peace be with you,

Chelsea

Ah! The power of a moment! Isn't it incredible when an observation becomes so much? More so even, when put to the page I think.

Well done!
