Once where fire filled my soul
Slowly I came to my senses
Eventually regained control

Behind these fortified walls
The prisoner again resides
Guarded secretly in fear
This force that turns the tides

Turn the key and check the door
Verify no chance escape
Wet the coals and stamp the ash
Spells of binding initiate

Silent prayer whispered to you
Please forgive me long time friend
This you know I just must do
Need will someday rise again

You fought strong all through the night
The fighting's over, we turn this page
Turn my back and slip away
Thankful still I control
Rage

Well...I hope this means you are feeling better, hun.
*hugs you tight*
But...I may be getting it wrong, as the last stanza is eather signed by rage or written about rage.
I'm tired and can't figure which.. lol.
Anyway, this is great as usual Nazzy.
I think you have yet to write a bad poem.

*hugs* Phil xxx

I really feel ya, man.
You have put alot of emotion and pain
into these writes.
These are really well done,
I will remember these when I feel
like writing something like this:
it can be done with skill
and not be plain confessionalism.

The knowing in these last, impresses me Nazzy. And Gee 'Em --- he's dead on. I couldn't agree more.

I can feel you drawing the curtain closed here... and with the feeling comes both relief and appreciation... and a poetically motivated sigh.

You did good, Nazzy. *hug*

Nazzy, once again... excellent!! I'm so glad you have been writing so much, and letting your feelings out! The words are piercing and intense in their subtlity. Perfect. Beautiful. A stroll through the mind and soul of the master poet. Wonderful write cheri. So glad to see that you're feeling a little bit better! All my love, douce chasseur! Forever,

Fleur. *Stephy*

Your words seem to be hiding something. I guess that explains your 3rd stanza. But your words held me spell bound.

I had to read this twice and then go sleep on it, and I'm still not sure what to say. I can tell this comes from very deep, and, of course, it's well written. Does anger come from a place of frustration? That's what I'm seeing in my son. I'm learning more about anger, although it's an emotion I seldom feel. I'm learning that it's truly based in fear and that it can be a very healthy emotion used correctly.
What category was this in? I can't tell from here. I'm sorry, I'm rambling. This has surely made me think.

Naz, This poem reminds me of the one I wrote on "Reoccuring Dream." Where the woman locked herself behind the thick gray walls and heavey wood locked door. Safe from the outside world; but lonely and trapped within her self. You at least venture forth to fight the battles. Gosh, I hope i'm not a mile off on all these.

A fantastic write
