As tears gently roll down my pillow,
They fall onto my soft bed covers,
I long to feel the arms of my lover.

I envy the lovely beautiful rose,
I remember when I was one of those,
But as heartache set in my petals fell,
My lovely flower lost its heavenly smell.

I stand with my head hung in the soil,
Thinking of the love that I did spoil,
Why couldn’t I love, why didn’t I trust?
It was my own fault my relationships gone bust.

My petals were once so vibrant & red,
Now they are brown & a long time dead,
They hang down over my face,
Suspended alone in an unhappy place.

I can remember the smiles, the happiness,
But I’ve been suffocated by the hurt & the stress,
The tears won’t ever stop falling,
But to my heart you have stopped calling.

Wow Pixie ... that one hurts ... I can feel that all the way over here. You certainly know how express the feeling, and fear of aloneness. And you do so very well.
