As I drag the hungry blade across sweet flesh...
It's been pleading for months and a day,
There, inside my last drawer on the left...
A muffled cry of recklessness,
And I finally give in...

"NO! You can't start that again!!"
Oh, but how I yearn to...
It’s been so long since I succumbed to my addiction,
Of blades and blood…

Ah, that feeling of release that writing cannot fulfill,
A fleeting sting of pain, then it’s all pleasure…
Such beauty,
The way it would travel along the length of my arm,
Ending in a pool of scarlet confined emotions…

This despair is consuming me,
Chewing and spitting me back out…
These memories are drowning me,
And I just want it all to end…
Just want it all to disappear,
Drain out of these veins,
And leave only a crimson legacy…

This depression will never end… [comments] => 6 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 13 [informant] => FleurdeSang [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => DarkPoetry )

Wow you've taken me back in time to a place
I hope to never go back to. You have written
down these feelings and images and crafted
it into an amazing poem. I think you have a
new fan here. Stay strong and keep up the
writing.
