Sitting here
Sakura petals fall around me
And land in the dark water
I watch them float away
Haunting blue eyes stare up at me
From a pale face, lit by the moon
Long raven tresses fall infront of my face
and my look-alike friend
She stares at me with pain from her past
Reflected in her sad eyes
They tell a long story of hurt and betrayl
A lone tear falls from her face and mine
The water ripples as a fish swims by
Her image scatteres slightly
As I stare down at this girl
Laying in the water
I feel my mask wane
Silent tears flow from the eyes of the girl in the water
We reach up and touch our cheek
The salty liquid is warm on my fingers
My mask has forever been broken
As I look back at the girl,
I have to glance again
I do not see a girl anymore
I see a woman
Hardened by the years
A woman that survived her past
Me
