and I can't look down now.
I'll have to start all over again if I fall,
and that's something I just can't allow.

I have to keep moving ahead,
even if I can't be with you.
This feeling inside isn't easy to shed,
but it's something that I have to do.

Deep down I want to wait and see,
wait for that chance of a lifetime.
But in reality I don't think it'll be,
so it's this wall I continue to climb.

It seems to get taller with every passing day,
I would think it would be the other way around.
When I think of you it begins to sway,
but I can't let the pain knock me down.

I know when I get to the top there's still the other side,
but going down just can't compare.
At that point I'm going to have to decide,
exactly where do I go from there.

Half Way Up the Wall

I've climbed half way up this wall,
and I can't look down now.
I'll have to start all over again if I fall,
and that's something I just can't allow.

I have to keep moving ahead,
even if I can't be with you.

I know how hard it could be to start over just after having broken up with someone you still love dearly. Great write.
