With a sigh like the falling of angels
You wrap yourself up in crystal cloth.
Lay down in your bed of skulls.

We never see the things beyond our eyes.
You my dear are a shinning example.
The only rule you ever followed.

Eyes like the flash of a camera.
Smile like broken glass on a dirty floor.
Love like a firework about to go out.

With a laugh like a church bell ringing
You kiss us all goodbye and shed your cloth.
Leave your skulls behind for us to sweep up.

Soul like a lighting storm
Heart like a broken drum
Mind like a dusty book.

The camera stopped flashing.
The glass was swept up.
The firework went out.

We cleaned up your mess of skulls
A hundred years after you left.
That’s how long it took for you to be forgotten.
