None of this has ever come straight from you
Now I feel so confused, not knowing what to do
It's time you stopped telling me these lies
Time for you to open up your eyes
Before you crash in your own demise

I can't believe you would enlighten me
I need to take time out to breathe
You once told me you could confide in me
Unless it was all just a dream?

I now know it was too good to be true
This I should have most certainly knew
They say that knowledge is power
This is what gave you strength to devourer

All I wanted was to know the absolute truth
None of this has ever come straight from you
Now I feel so confused, not knowing what to do
It's time you stopped telling me these lies
Time for you to open up your eyes
Before you crash in your own demise

Why did you have to deceive me?
Was it because you knew we would never be?
All you left me was a heart full of hurt
As I start to lose every part of my self worth

As I remember the words you spoke, locked in my mind
I feel so broke and dead inside, running out of time
Perhaps looking back on this you'll show me a sign
In fact I think that you should apologise

Unless of course you can look me straight in the eye
And tell me that you never lied
Then I would feel that justice has been done
Then I could heal no longer having to run

All I wanted was to know the absolute truth
None of this has ever come straight from you
Now I feel so confused, not knowing what to do
It's time you stopped telling me these lies
