A dream so vivid, I can still feel his breath on the nape of my neck,
This nightmare will not cease, I'm held captive inside my own bitter-sweet fairytale.
“Just close your eyes“, these words tremble from my lips.
Memories creeping from the back of my mind, haunting every thought.
Pushing away the sheets like waves suffocating the shore.
I flee, familiar steps tracing back from the previous night.
Standing alone beneath the window, A dim light peers in whispering sweet lullabies of a time before,
A time when I could feel, when I loved others, even myself.
Now I shatter into a million pieces, spread out across the bathroom floor,
Staring down at my disfigured reflection, eyes searching for the person trapped inside.
Kneeling, against the wall I reach for my prince charming, the only one who could kiss away the pain.
Pressing the chilled blade to my smooth yet jagged wrist. Seeking refuge, I watch the river of blood trickle down my arm.
A silhouette sprawled across the tile, in a pool of crimson.
A single tear caressed her cheek as she calls out to you hushed against the night, “Oh rescue me now before its too late, Carry me away on your horse of white“, but you cant hear her, for you never did.
Now she lay a sleeping beauty never to wake....There's no such thing as happily ever after. 'Now she lay a sleeping beauty never to wake'

i liked that line, nicely put...there isn't much form, but there are some good lines in here. plus i like the way the whole prince thing was, the razor and then the ending. nice job...
