Happiness in a bottle.
Sitting here at my computer
on the finest of nights,
haunted by friendly spirits
of the past.
I find comfort in my friend,
Merlot.
Merlot finds the spot
deep inside
where fond memories play in lush fields
of Green.
Where Happiness kicks it's shoes off
to climb the World Tree.
"Eat of my Soul", she says
in her thunder voice,
bearing her fruit.
No, we can not run back to those days,
for soon enough more will come
and those days shall pass as well,
to be remembered
once again,
on the finest of nights,
when old spirits call
to meet with new friends on the horizon.
But tonight,
just tonight,
I share these memories with my good friend,
Merlot. [comments] => 0 [counter] => 246 [topic] => 54 [informant] => Nardo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
